The world's tallest animal, the giraffe is facing a "silent extinction". Their population has dropped by more than 40% in the last 15 years.

There are fewer than 700 Rothschild Giraffes left in Uganda and Kenya. 

The two main causes of their decline are habitat loss and poaching.
