OVERVIEW:
This classic Kenyan Safari is geared toward sophisticated travelers who want to experience the magic of Kenya. DAY 1: ARRIVE NAIROBI
Arrive in Nairobi at night where you will be greeted at the airport and escorted to your hotel. We will be there every step of the way to help guide you, and we'll set everything up according to your preferences so you can relax and enjoy your adventure!

DAY 2: TRAVEL TO AMBOSELI
After breakfast, begin your safari by traveling to Amboseli National Park. Located southeast of Nairobi, Amboseli is an area of low, "scrubby" vegetation and open grassy plains, all of which makes for easy game viewing. It's best known for its large herds of elephants and stunning views of Mt. Kilimanjaro, Africa's tallest mountain. During game drives, you are guaranteed to see elephants, but you may also see lions, hippos, zebras, wildebeest, gazelle, buffalo, leopart, spotted hyena, giraffe, cheetah, and over 300 kinds of birds. Arrive at your lodge in time for lunch followed by an afternoon game drive.

DAY 3: AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK
Full day of game viewing in Amboseli.

DAY 4: TRAVEL TO NAIROBI
After breakfast at the lodge, travel back to Nairobi to experience the city. Enjoy a PRIVATE encounter with the orphaned elephants at the David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage, kiss the endangered Rothschild giraffes at The Giraffe Centre, and dine at either the famed Carnivore Restaurant or Tamambo Restaurant on the grounds of The Karen Blixen Estate.

DAY 5: TRAVEL TO OL PEJETA CONSERVANCY
After breakfast at the hotel, travel to Ol Pejeta Conservancy, located on the plains of Mount Kenya, where seeing rhinos is guaranteed. Host to the "Big Five" (elephant, rhino, lion, buffalo, and leopard) and the largest black rhino sanctuary in East Africa, Ol Pejeta is also home to the last two Northern White Rhino on Earth, protected under 24-hour armed guard. It also hosts Kenya's only chimpanzee sanctuary (formed by Jane Goodall), and shelters large numbers of rare and endangered species.

DAY 6: TRAVEL TO SAMBURU
After breakfast, depart to Samburu National Reserve, a park famous for its rugged beauty, rich wildlife and semi-nomadic Samburu tribesmen. In addition to a plethora of big cats, Samburu offers a "Special 5" unique to the area: the long-necked gerenuk, Grevvy's zebra, the reticulated giraffe, Beisa Oryx and the Somali ostrich.

DAY 7: SAMBURU NATIONAL RESERVE
Full day of game viewing in Samburu.

DAY 8: TRAVEL TO MASAI MARA
Depart after breakfast and board your flight for the unparalleled beauty of Masai Mara. Famed for its rolling hills and plains, as well as its large population of black-maned Masai lions, you may also spot elephants, cheetahs, leopards, and—if you're lucky—a black rhino. Enjoy extras like a Hot Air Balloon Ride over the plains, a Sundowner, or a visit to a Masai village. We strive to fulfill your every desire to make this the trip of your lifetime!

DAYS 9-10: MASAI MARA NATIONAL RESERVE

DAY 11: RETURN TO NAIROBI:
Travel back to Nairobi and onward home, or stay on for one of our extensions, like visiting the elephants at David Sheldrick's Reintegration Unit in Tsavo, trekking to see the endangered mountain gorillas of Rwanda or Uganda, or enjoying the beaches of Zanzibar.
